Student groups will be responsible for creating a presentation scene. Students are encouraged to use 10’ X 10’ canopy shades to create their scenes under. Students should decorate their tent according to the topic of their living history exhibit.
Although the La Colina History Club has some tents available for groups to use, we encourage those students who have one at home to bring it for their group presentation. Donation of tents is also appreciated to assist in this years “Walk” and for future years. Everything you see in these pictures was created by the students in each group. All presentations at each scene are supposed to be informative, hands-on, and engaging. Each student will have done an extensive research paper on their own topic. Their presentations will showcase their knowledge as well as creative teaching ideas. |
"Thank you so much for yet another fantastic Walk Through the Middle Ages! Our students at Mountain View were so excited about every booth. Many are fired up to attend La Colina based on this experience. It also helps show them as 5th and 6th graders, what the expectations are at the junior high level. As far as I'm concerned, this is the best field trip I take students on every year. And from our staff at Mountain View, thank you! Don't change a thing - it's great!!!"
"As a parent, I am so impressed at how you have inspired the kids to work independently on such a major project. Summer was fired up from start to finish, and it's given her such a feeling of accomplishment. Thank you for all your efforts and support."
