All 7th grade social studies classes research various topics of what life was like during the Middle Ages in: Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. Students write an extensive research paper and then get into groups with other students who have similar topics to create an outdoor exhibit where students demonstrate their knowledge of their topics.
The culminating activity is called “A Walk Through the Middle Ages” where close to 1,000 students from 12 different elementary schools will visit the living history exhibits at La Colina. This upcoming year we will be celebrating the 22nd annual celebration of this event on March 14, 2019 from 9:00AM to 11:30AM in the west parking lot at La Colina Junior High School.
